We approached Hypotheekrente.nl hoping for a smooth mortgage process. What we experienced instead was a series of delays, misinformation, and lack of communication. Over several weeks, their consultants consistently failed to follow up, submitted an incorrect application without checking it. After over 5 weeks of stress and miscommunication, we were risking loosing the house we were trying to buy, delayed our reconstruction plans, and endured enormous stress — all while dealing with this during pregnancy. After we had to formally terminate our agreement and signing with a new advisor, we received two approved mortgage offers in just 1.5 working days. Meanwhile, Hypotheekrente.nl now wants to invoice us for a service that only delivered after we were no longer clients. If you’re an expat or freelancer, I strongly recommend not working with this firm. There is a clear lack of professionalism, care, and accountability.
